ASUU Holds NEC Meeting to Decide the Next Line of Action
The National Executive Council, NEC, of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) held its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting yesterday 31 July 2022, in Abuja to decide the next line of action since the strike entered 167th day.
Recall that ASUU and other university based unions embarked on a strike since February 14, 2022 over alleged federal government’s failure to honour the 2009 agreements and demands bordering on welfare, funding of the universities, payments systems.
Several meetings, interventions, consultations and FG-ASUU negotiations, have been have been held with no benefcial outcome.
