COOU Emerge Winner in NIESV Quiz Competition.
The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State has emerged overall winner amongst five Universities at a Quiz Competition organized by National Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV).
According to reports, the finals of the quiz tagged “The National Tertiary Education Quiz Competition of the National Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV)” was concluded on 23rd of June, 2022 at the Institute’s annual conference at Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
The zones and institutions that participated in the quiz include; South West; represented by Federal University of Technology, Akure, with a total score of 49 points; – South-South; represented by Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, scored 38; – North East; represented by Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, scored 52; – North West; represented by Bayero University, Kano, scored 58 points; – North Central; represented by Federal University of Technology, Minna, had a total of 36 points.
However, from the results announced by the Chairman, Education Committee of NIESV; Dr. Uchenna Ebi, the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State represented by Okpala Emmanuel and Celestine Chinemelum, scored a total of 80 marks to flaw the other Five (5) Tertiary Institutions that represented other zones during the final competition.
After the Victory, the student’s coach and a lecturer in the department of Estate Management Dr. Mrs Dumebi Efobi, thanked her colleagues in the Department including the Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences; Prof. Leonard Moughalu, the HOD of Estate Management, Dr. Mike Anyakora for their support and encouragement to the students and extended appreciation to the University management for providing the enabling environment that made the success of the students a reality.
