- Full CV in tabular form (maximum of 3 pages)
- Motivation letter (1-3 pages) detailing personal and academic reasons for the planned study project in Germany (uploaded under ‘study project/motivation’ in the DAAD portal)
- Admission letter from the host university in Germany (if not available during application, submit before the start of funding)
- Form “Information about your preferred master programs” for applicants planning to do a second or Master’s degree in Germany
- Proof that credits obtained in Germany will be recognized by the home university for applicants spending part of their degree in Germany
- Valid proof of language skills (e.g., TOEFL iBT min 79, IELTS min 6.5, TOEFL home edition, or IELTS indicator)
- Submit proof of language skills on the DAAD portal even if the host university does not require it
- Recent reference letter from a university lecturer, including the applicant’s qualifications (hand-signed, no digital or scanned signatures)
- Copy of passport
- Employment certificate, if applicable
- Proof of extracurricular activities, if applicable
