The Senior Lecturer, Author and former Senior Banking Assistant , expressed her excitement about the brand. In her words: “It is indeed an honour to be offered an opportunity to contribute to alleviating the financial pressures young Nigerians face in their quest for tertiary education.” The new Advisory Board member also encouraged the PressPayNg team to continue to impact the education sector positively.

BRIEF PROFILE of AMINA AHMED EL-IMAM (Ph.D., Nottingham)
Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam obtained Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in Microbiology in 2003 and 2007, respectively, from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. She also received a Professional Diploma in Education from Kwara State College of Education in 2014. On an academic scholarship from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, she obtained a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the University of Nottingham in 2017.
Dr. El-Imam started her professional career with First Bank as a Banking Assistant in 2006. She resigned as a Senior Banking Assistant and joined the services of the University of Ilorin in 2011 to pursue her passion for education. Over the past decade, she has risen to the position of Senior Lecturer with the University, where she has diligently upheld the tripod of the academic profession: teaching, research, and community development. To this end, she has taught over twenty courses to thousands of students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Also, she has (co-)supervised over sixty students’ research, and her research findings have been published in reputable national and international journals. She has also presented these findings at scientific conferences worldwide and won numerous prizes, awards, and grants at home and abroad. Lastly, she has organized and participated in several events as a member of the Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCE Ilorin), affiliated with the United Nations University, and held several administrative positions at the University.
Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam is the author of two books, Knowing Microbes and Time Management for Professional Women, launched to wide acclaim in March 2022. She is currently in the United States of America on the Fulbright Visiting Research Fellowship sponsored by the United States Department of State. She is a passionate lover of educating the youth and runs a free book club for children. Through her consulting outfit, Carnation Consults, she also provides free training events to improve the professional capacity of the Nigerian youth.
