Dr. Pirkko Koppinen Scholarship is now open and available to students of all nationalities to study in the United Kingdom. Interested students applying to study eligible masters course(s) at Royal Holloway, University of London are invited to apply for the scholarship.
This scholarship is available to a new full-time student with Home or International fee status applying for MA Medieval Studies. It is available as a tuition fee reduction and living costs contribution (where applicable) to the value of £12,000.

Criteria
To be eligible for Royal Holloway University of London Dr Pirkko Koppinen Scholarship, Applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be international students
- Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer to study MA Medieval Studies at Royal Holloway.
- Applicants must need to have achieved, or be on target to achieve, a 2:1 degree or higher
How-to-Apply
To be considered for Royal Holloway University of London Dr Pirkko Koppinen Scholarship, Applications must be submitted through RH Direct. Applicants will be made aware of the outcome of their application after 26 July 2022.
Applicants must provide a supporting statement of no longer than 500 words (please note that statements that exceed the word count will automatically be rejected). This should include:
- Academic achievements you are particularly proud of
- Why have you chosen to do the degree you have applied for
- How you plan to use this MA in your future research and career path and how will the scholarship help you achieve it
Your statement will be judged on how effectively and convincingly you respond to the above.
As well as your statement, you will need to upload your most recent grades transcript from your undergraduate degree. Any applications that are submitted without an uploaded transcript will be rejected.
Applicants must have a written academic reference letter (up to 200 words). This must be submitted from an academic who has previously supported, taught or worked with you. Please ask the academic to email their reference letter (on official headed paper) directly to humanities-school@rhul.ac.uk.
