In his early years as a scholar, Deyemi went to Taikenny Nursery, a primary school in Lagos. Deyemi furthered his high school studies through the International School in Lagos in collaboration with Del-York.
For his tertiary education, the actor studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Lagos (UL), now with the hopes of following his father’s footsteps. He also obtained a Certificate in Acting for Film, from the New York Film Academy.
Deyemi started acting at the age of five when he was featured in an ‘end-of-year’ play while he was still in Primary school. When Okanlawon was nine, he was featured in a national television commercial with Kunle Bamtef. As he was growing, the Yoruba actor was mostly focused on his theatre roles. He is best known for his roles in the TV Series Gidi Up and An African City and featured in the Movies, If Tomorrow Comes and Road to Yesterday.
