Ekene Umenwa completed her primary and secondary education in Nigeria. She then proceeded to Ebonyi State University, where she graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry.

While still in university, Ekene began her acting career in 2011 with a role in the film King After Kings. Her breakthrough came in 2013 with the movie Black Choir. Over the years, she has featured in numerous Nollywood films and TV series, including Money and Blood, Innocent Oath, and The Cab Ladies.

Beyond acting, Ekene is a successful content creator, sharing comic skits on platforms like TikTok and YouTube. She is also the CEO of Ekyevent Confectionary, offering event planning and pastry services.
