Federal Government NIYA Gigs Program For Young Nigerians 2025
The Federal Ministry of Youth Development has launched the NIYA Gigs Program to help generate income and employability for young individuals with highly-demanded digital skills.
The FG NIYA Gigs Initiative is strategically designed to connect Nigerian youth to real, paying opportunities in the global gig economy.
NiYA Gigs is a national platform under the broader Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) ecosystem that equips and connects youth with digital gigs both locally and globally.
The NIYA Gigs Digital Skills Nigerian Youth is one of the programs of the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) launched in March 2025.
The NiYA Application portal was launched by Nigeria’s Vice President to showcase the administration’s commitment to equipping Nigerian youths with the necessary skills to thrive in the global economy.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a Nigerian
- Have a digital skill in
- graphic design
- writing,
- web development
- virtual assistant, or
- voice-over artistry

The program seeks to focus on three key areas;
- Education and Skills Development by providing world-class training in digital literacy, technical skills, entrepreneurship, and the creative industries
- Economic Empowerment through financial support, mentorship, and resources to budding entrepreneurs.
- Leadership and Civic Engagement by nurturing the next generation of leaders through training in governance, policy-making, and community development.
