- The program focuses on increasing diversity in STEM fields. Therefore, applicants from underrepresented groups, including but not limited to African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and individuals with disabilities, are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.8/4.0.
- Applicants must contractually agree to intern for two summers with a sponsoring GEM Employer, starting the summer after receiving sponsorship.
