Global Studies University Scholarship in UAE 2025 (The Africa Institute) | Fully Funded

The Africa Institute in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) invites suitable qualified applicants for the 2025 Global Studies University Scholarship.

The Global Studies University Scholarship cover educational expenses (tuition, UAE visa sponsorship and health insurance, Air tickets for international students, Student accommodation) and offer the opportunity to receive a monthly stipend.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4.0, or its equivalent from an independently accredited university.
  • The university should be recognized by both the UAE Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Affairs Division and the institution you are applying to.
  • Applicants must submit official transcripts and graduation certificates of their Bachelor’s degree, both attested by the UAE Ministry of Education. If the Bachelor’s degree and transcript are not in English, a legal translation is required.
  • If the Bachelor’s degree was obtained outside the UAE, applicants must submit an equivalency certificate of their degree from the UAE Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Affairs Division. This is to ensure that the foreign degree is recognized within the UAE.

Required Documents

  • Certified Copy of Bachelor’s degree and transcript: This document shows your academic performance and includes the grading scale. If the Bachelor’s degree and transcript are not in English, a legal translation is required.
  • Equivalency Certificate: If you graduated from institutions outside the UAE, you must obtain equivalency certificate(s) issued by the UAE Ministry of Education to ensure your foreign degree is recognized in the UAE.   • IELTS/TOFEL score certificate
  • Statement of Purpose (1,000 – 1500 words): In your statement of purpose, you should articulate your reasons for pursuing the specific graduate program, your academic and career goals, and how the program aligns with your aspirations. This is your opportunity to explain why you’re a strong candidate for the program.
  • Detailed CV/Resume
  • Passport-style photograph on a white background
  • Valid passport copy
  • Valid UAE visa copy (for UAE nationals/residents)
  • Valid Emirates ID card copy (for UAE nationals/residents)
  • Payment of Application fee: AED 365 (non-refundable)
