Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must not hold Japanese citizenship.
- Enrollment in a graduate program in Japan must occur in September or October 2024.
- Only students enrolled in professional graduate schools are eligible if they can submit a research plan.
- The duration of enrollment must exceed 12 months.
- For Master’s degree applicants, the maximum age limit is 30 years.
- For PhD degree applicants, the maximum age limit is 35 years.
- Candidates must demonstrate a passion for serving their home country.
- Applicants should possess a good understanding of international friendship.
- Basic proficiency in the Japanese language, sufficient for carrying out everyday conversations, is required.
Required Documents:
- Face photo in jpg or gif format, maximum size 500KB.
- 2-minute video presenting the research plan, in mp4 or mov format, maximum size 1GB, in Japanese or English, ensuring the applicant’s face is clearly visible.
- Academic transcripts demonstrating previous academic achievements.
- Detailed research proposal outlining the intended research project.
- Recommendation letter(s) from academic or professional referees.
- Admission letter or letter of acceptance from the Japanese university confirming enrollment in the graduate program starting in September or October 2024.
