History of Kogi State College of Education(Technical) Kabba

Kogi state college of education (Technical) kabba has been granted approval by National Commission for Colleges of Education ,(NCCE) Abuja to run full Nigeria certificate in education (NCE), Technical programmes with effect from 2012/2013 academic session.Kogi state College of Education (Technical) Kabba, was established in April 2010, through a bill passed by the state House of Assembly and signed into law by his excellency, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Idris, the then Executive Governor of Kogi State

Out of about sixty-four (64) Colleges of Education in Nigeria, there are eight (8) Colleges of Education (Technical), Two of which are owned by state governments including Kogi State .College of Education (Technical) Kabba,The remaining six are owned by the federal Government.

The college currently operates from its take-off site. The academic area is located at Egbeda-Kabba and the administrative area is at Gbeleko-Kabba and the Students hostel are located at Okedayo- Kabba. The three site are within close range of each other.
