History of Nasarawa College of Health Science & Technology
The School was formed as a pre-service training facility in July 1999, and a law supporting that formation was passed in 2002. The Law was reviewed by the previous administration in 2015 and 2019, respectively, to elevate the status of the School to College, and the Governor, His Excellency Engr. A. A. Sule, revised the Law to reflect the current upgrade.
The College offers 11 distinct professional health courses, with awards ranging from a diploma to a higher national diploma. The students receive training to provide support to secondary health care institutions as well as services in primary healthcare facilities.
For the National Diploma, Professional Bodies and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) have both recognized all programs.
