History of Wellspring University, Benin City

Wellspring University was established in 2009 by the Management Science Centre, a professional training and educational consulting firm founded in 1983. The university was founded on Christian principles and aims to provide quality education that combines academic excellence with moral and spiritual values.

The university officially began operations in GRA, Benin City, Edo State, and has since grown to offer 17 undergraduate courses across four colleges, as well as postgraduate programs. It is a vibrant community of multicultural staff and students from across Africa.

All academic programs at Wellspring University are accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) of Nigeria. In 2019, the university was rated third among the second-generation private universities in Nigeria according to the NUC Webometric Ranking.
