JAALS Foundation Wola Joseph-Condotti Essay Competition 2025
The Wola Joseph-Condotti Annual Essay Competition is calling on passionate undergraduate students from across Nigeria to showcase their writing talent in this year’s edition.
As technology continues to reshape every aspect of our world, the way we lead through this transformation will determine the kind of future we create. This competition aims to inspire a new generation of visionary leaders and individuals who think critically, uphold integrity, and drive innovation with purpose.
The theme for this year’s competition; “Leadership in a Digital Age: Taking Charge for What Is, and What Is to Come, Through Technological Transformation,” invites undergraduates to reflect deeply on the evolving meaning of leadership in today’s dynamic, tech-driven era.
JAALS Foundation Essay Competition Rewards
- 1st Prize: ₦300,000
- 2nd Prize: ₦200,000
- 3rd Prize: ₦100,000
In addition, the top 20 finalists will receive special recognition for their outstanding submissions.
Eligibility Criteria
This competition is open to all undergraduate students enrolled in accredited Nigerian universities. Regardless of your field of study; be it arts, sciences, engineering, or social sciences. You are encouraged to participate and express your unique perspective.
Submission Guidelines
To maintain the integrity and standard of the competition, participants are required to adhere to the following rules:
- Essays must not exceed 1,500 words.
- Use Times New Roman, 12-point font size, and double spacing throughout.
- Include accurate citations and references following the APA referencing style.
- Originality is mandatory, plagiarized entries will be disqualified.
