Organized by the East-West Center, this prestigious fellowship is designed to enhance the understanding of cultures, issues, and trends in the Indo-Pacific region. The theme for the 2025 fellowship is “The Future of Food Security: Lessons from Southeast Asia”, focusing on the growing challenges of food security caused by environmental changes, rising prices, declining fisheries, and disruptions in global supply chains.

Journalists participating in the program will explore these topics through on-the-ground reporting, expert discussions, and site visits in the USA, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to journalists from the Indo-Pacific region and the United States.
- Must be working in print, broadcast, or online journalism.
- Have at least 5 years of professional journalism experience.
- Must be proficient in English and capable of communication in a professional setting.
- Must be committed to producing journalistic content before, during, and after the fellowship.
