Lagos State University (LASU) has re-opened its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) application portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Vice-Chancellor has graciously approved the reopening of Lagos State University’s Online Admission Screening Portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into 100-level via UTME or through Direct Entry (DE) are invited to apply. Participation in the online screening exercise is compulsory for all prospective students of the University.

 ELIGIBILITY:

  • Candidates who selected Lagos State University as their first-choice institution in the 2025 UTME and scored at least 195 are eligible to take part in the online admission screening exercise. Additionally, all applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025, to qualify for admission consideration.
  • All Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) students who have completed their programme and intend to gain admission into Lagos State University for the 2025/2026 academic session must have selected LASU as their first-choice institution in the 2025 UTME.To be eligible for the online admission screening exercise, these candidates must also have scored a minimum of 195 marks in the UTME.
  • All Direct Entry candidates, including those from the LASU Foundation (JUPEB), seeking admission into Lagos State University for the 2025/2026 academic session must have obtained a Direct Entry form from JAMB and selected LASU as their first-choice institution to be eligible for the screening exercise. It is important to note that only the LASU Diploma is accepted for Direct Entry admission, except for candidates with an NCE qualification applying to programmes within the Faculty of Education.
  • Candidates of Lagos State origin applying for 100 or 200-level admission who have successfully verified their indigene status through the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) set up by LASU will have their status recognized during the screening process. Their verified claims will be automatically validated and reflected in the Online Admission Screening Exercise without the need for further confirmation.

For the 2025/2026 academic session, only the accredited courses listed by the University are available for admission. Candidates are advised to apply only for these listed programmes and must ensure they meet the specific admission requirements for their chosen course.

DIRECT ENTRY

All Direct Entry candidates are required to promptly submit a copy of their Online Admission Screening Report along with their LASU Diploma or NCE result. These documents should be submitted to the Admissions Annex/Liaison Office located in Room 7, Administrative Block II, for further processing.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

  • Point to Student, then click on New Applicants  
  • Click on UTME/DE Screening (https://lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening)  
  • Click on UTME Candidate Login
  • Enter your UTME Registration Number, your Surname, and click on Submit  
  • Click the Make Payment (Admission Screening) button
  • On the Payment Page:  
  • Supply JAMB Registration Number  
  • Select Admission Screening Fee as Description  
  • Select Ojo as Campus  
  • Select Student as Category
  • After successful payment, return to your dashboard
  • Click Start Admission Screening
  • Your basic bio-data information will be displayed Select Mode of Entry
  • Provide your Transaction ID used for payment 
  • Click Submit.

Use your UTME Registration Number and Surname to log in to the LASU Online Screening Platform and supply your Transaction ID

Candidates must possess Five (5) O’Level credits in subjects relevant to their desired course of study at not more than Two (2) sittings, except Medicine and Dentistry, which require ONLY One (1) sitting.  

Candidates who want to study any Engineering course and intend to use Two (2) sittings of O’Level results must possess Six (6) O’Level Credits, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, two (2) other science subjects, and any other subject.  

Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering requires a credit pass in Further Mathematics.  

A credit in English Language is compulsory for admission into all courses at Lagos State University

Candidates must ENSURE they upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS before the close of the Admission Screening Exercise.  

Candidates of Lagos State origin must have proved their claims before the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) set up by Lagos State University, as their claims will be automatically validated before they can proceed with the online screening.

Important Notice: Any examination taken after July 2025 is not acceptable.

  • Carefully preview all details provided and ensure they are correct.  

• Tick the I Certify button if all details are as displayed in the preview are accurate.

  • Click the Continue button.
  • After submission and successful completion of the online screening, you will be redirected to the Screening Homepage.  
  • Enter your UTME REGISTRATION NUMBER, then click DOWNLOAD RESULT to generate your SCREENING REPORT.

 ONLINE SCREENING GRADING:

Candidate screening will be conducted using a Point Grading System that considers both the UTME score and grades in the five most relevant O’Level subjects for the chosen course. These relevant subjects can be confirmed through the 2025 JAMB brochure, available at www.jamb.gov.ng or http://ibass.jamb.gov.ng/ebrochure.html.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to review the O’Level subject requirements for their intended course on the JAMB website before proceeding with the online screening. The window for payment, registration, and updating of O’Level results and other details will be open from Monday, 4th August to Friday, 9th August 2025 (closing at midnight).
