We all know PressPayNg is an EdTech/FinTech app responsible assisting students in tertiary institutions in Nigeria via Scholarships, Education loans, Free Soft skill training and lots more.

We’re excited to announce our daily series called “Meet the PressPayNg Tribe.” Where we get to interview the brains behind the succcess of this exceptional innovation that has come to the rescue of most Nigerian Students in tertiary institutions such as Universities, Polytechnics, College of Education and Monotechnics.

Today we will be starting with PressPayNg Legal/Compliance Officer.

Q1. Please can we meet you?

Ans: My name is Daberechi Ike-Inegbu but you can call me Darby. I work as the Legal/compliance Officer for PressPayNg.

Q2. So Darby, from a legal point of view how credible is PressPayNg? Do you think it would thrive?

Ans: PressPayNg is a credible platform. The organisation has taken time to study the legal & regulatory framework of its sector to ensure full compliance. Yes, I believe PressPayNg would thrive.

Q3. How do you communicate with staff to ensure that there are no violations of regulations?

Ans: Well, I take advantage of the available communication platform such as Emails, Slack, WhatsApp, Phone calls as well as oral communication.

Q4. Share an experience in which you successfully trained a staff. What methods made you successful?

Ans:  Well, I can say that all the new members of staff training I have conducted have been successful. The major training methods I use are On-The-Job Training and Coaching, because I believe the best way to learn and be good at something is by engaging and doing it.

Q5. Briefly share your general experience working as a Legal/Compliance officer for PressPayNg?

Ans: It’s been an interesting learning, unlearning and relearning experience for me. Working for PressPayNg as a Legal/Compliance officer has given me the opportunity to be able to put my knowledge to use in a productive way as well as developing myself on the job.
