NEPL/OERNL JV Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme 2026/2027
The NEPL/OERNL Joint Venture, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to education and human capital development, invites applications from suitably qualified students for its 2026/2027 Tertiary Scholarship Scheme.
This scholarship initiative is designed to support academically outstanding Nigerian students in tertiary institutions by providing financial assistance to help cover educational expenses. Through this programme, the Joint Venture aims to promote academic excellence, reduce the financial burden on students and their families, and contribute to the development of a skilled and knowledgeable workforce in Nigeria.

Eligibility Requirements
- Be registered full-time undergraduates in a recognized Nigerian tertiary institution.
- Be confirmed 100-level students at the time of application.
Important Notes (Ineligibility Criteria)
The following categories of students are not eligible to apply:
- Students in 200 level and above.
- Current beneficiaries of similar scholarships from other organizations or agencies.
- Dependants of staff of OANDO PLC and its subsidiaries.
Special Considerations
- Only indigenes of OANDO host or transit communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States are eligible for the Host Communities Merit Award.
- The National Merit Award is strictly open to applicants studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, and Agricultural Sciences.
Selection Process
- The aptitude test will be conducted online.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the test.
- Applicants who score below 50% overall in the aptitude test will not be considered for the award.
Required Application Documents
- Recent passport photograph (white background, not older than 6 months; 450px by 450px, maximum 200KB).
- School ID card.
- O’Level certificate.
- Admission letter.
- Birth certificate.
- Proof of Local Government Area of origin.
- Letter from Community Paramount Ruler (for Host Communities Merit Award applicants only).
- Letter from CDC Chairman (for Host Communities Merit Award applicants only).
- JAMB result.
- Completed compliance form.

- Ensure all documents are properly named according to their content to avoid confusion during upload.
- Upload only the required and relevant documents where applicable.
- Provide valid email and phone contact details to ensure effective communication throughout the application process.
How to Apply
Interested and qualified candidates should apply through the Oando PLC scholarship portal: Oando PLC on candidate.scholastica.ng
Application Steps
- Visit the Scholastica website Scholastica.ng and click on Apply, then select Register Now to create an account.
- Check your email to activate your account.
- Return to the scholarship portal https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/oandoscholarship2026 and log in using your registered email and password.
- Complete your profile by filling in your personal details, educational background, and other required information.
- Upload all necessary scanned documents as specified.
- Ensure that the name used in your application matches exactly with all submitted documents. If there are discrepancies, provide a sworn affidavit or supporting certificate.
- Carefully review all uploaded documents to confirm clarity and correctness.
- Upload a recent passport photograph with a white background.
- Double-check all entered information to avoid errors.
- Click on Apply Now to submit your application.
- You will receive confirmation of a successful submission via email and SMS.
- Log back into Scholastica www.scholastica.ng to download your application profile and have it signed by your Head of Department.
- Upload the signed profile, as it will be required for verification purposes.
National Identification Number (NIN) Update (Optional)
- If you did not provide your NIN during the initial application, you can register for it later through the National Identity Management Commission http://ninenrol.gov.ng.
- Complete your registration, capture your biometric data at an approved centre https://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=nin-registration-centres, and obtain your NIN.
- Return to the scholarship portal to update your application with your NIN to finalize the process.
Final Step
- Download, complete, and upload the compliance form as required via https://saas.scholastica.ng/files/2026-2027-Compliance-Form.docx.
Important Notes
- Submitting multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification.
- Providing a NIN is not mandatory at the initial stage but may be required to complete your application later.
