NIPES Engineering and Science Scholarship for Undergraduates 2026
The National Institute of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES) is excited to launch its ₦1,000,000 Scholarship Program for aspiring engineers and scientists. This initiative reflects our commitment to nurturing talent and advancing inclusivity in the fields of engineering and science worldwide.
NIPES Engineering and Science Scholarship Benefits
- Total Scholarship Fund: ₦1,000,000
- Award per Recipient: ₦200,000
- Scholarship Duration: One academic year
Requirements for the NIPES Engineering and Science Scholarship
- Must be currently enrolled in a recognized higher education institution.
- Must be pursuing a course in science or engineering.
- Open to students in 100-level and above.
- Mandatory: Applicants are required to complete at least one free NIPES online course and reflect on the skills gained in their personal statement.
Priority Consideration:
Applicants who are NIPES student members will receive priority during the selection process. Non-members are encouraged to join NIPES to improve their chances of being selected.
Selection Process
Your personal statement should address the following:
- Your background and educational journey.
- Your passion for engineering or science.
- Academic and extracurricular achievements.
- Challenges you have overcome.
- Your career goals and how they align with NIPES’s mission.
- Skills from the NIPES Course: Describe the skills you gained from the free NIPES online course and explain how they support your academic or career development.
Eligibility
- NIPES student membership status.
- Quality and content of the personal statement.
- Demonstrated passion for engineering or science.
- Completion of a NIPES course and the ability to explain the skills acquired.
- Alignment with NIPES values and mission.
Note: Successful applicants will be required to take part in NIPES events and mentorship activities.
The scholarship is a one-time award for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Non-members who are selected will be granted a complimentary one-year NIPES student membership.

The application process includes the following steps:

- Submit a 500–750 word personal statement describing the skills gained from the course and how they support your academic or career goals https://nipes.org/scholarship-application-2026
Note: Ensure you upload proof of enrollment, your student ID, and your NIPES membership number (if applicable).
- Application Opens: 15th December 2025
- Application Deadline: 30th April 2026
- Final Selection: 30th May 2026
