No institution should sell or advertise “application forms” for programme admissions- JAMB
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that all applications for admission to first-degree programmes, national diplomas, and others must be processed only through it.
The examination body made this announcement in a short statement titled “Cessation Of Illegal/Irregular Admission” on its X account on Wednesday 23, 2023.
According to JAMB, no institution should sell or advertise “application forms” for programme admissions.
“All applications of admission to First Degree, National Diploma, National Innovation Diploma and the Nigeria Certificate in Education into Full-Time, Distance Learning, Part-Time, Outreach, Sandwich, etc., must be processed ONLY through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB),” JAMB stated.
It, however, directed all institutions to direct their candidates to apply to them through JAMB, adding that duplication of application forms are not allowed.
“Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the three Regulatory Agencies (National Universities Commission (NUC), the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE)) will ensure that all tertiary institutions comply with this policy directive.
“Other Professional Regulatory Agencies will also play a role in sanitising the process.”
