NOUN Appoints New Director for DPDWS

The Management of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has approved the appointment of Arch. Sadiq Otu Shuaib as the new director, Directorate of Physical Development, Works and Services (DPDWS).

This was contained in a memo dated June 27, 2022 and signed by the Registrar and Secretary of the Council, Mr. Felix Edoka. Arc. Shuaib, until this appointment, was the director, DPDWS in the University of Abuja.

The memo read thus:

“I am pleased to inform you that the University Management at its 69th Meeting held on Thursday, 23rd June, 2022, has approved your appointment as Director, Directorate of Physical Development, Works and Services (DPDWS).”

The appointment letter also explained that “As the Director, you are responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day activities of the Directorate as well as planning, development of physical infrastructure, maintenance and provision of works and services of the University.’’

In addition, it also stated that “You are expected to advise on building needs, designs, supervision/undertaking of construction of physical assets in terms of quality and quantity. You shall perform other duties that may be assigned by the Vice-Chancellor.”
