Welcome to the another exciting episode of the I Beg to Differ School debate sponsored by PressPayNg.

If you would recall, PressPayNg is proudly to announce its sponsorship of the popular debate series “I Beg to Differ” on Nigeria Info FM Abuja. The season’s First captivating debate topic, “Does Social Media Negatively Impact Mental Health in Teenagers?” held on the 27th May 2024 was thought-provoking and exciting.

The second episode of the debate which was held on the 28th of May 2024 was divided in 2 groups.

1st Group Debaters

  1. Cindy Paul Onyeka, Raberto School Abuja, 14 years old
  2. Oma-Benedict Excel Umuolajo, Government Science secondary school Asokoro, 14 years old

Topic: Social Media in Nigeria Should be Regulated

2nd Group Debaters

  1. Muhibah Jibril Aladeja, i-Scholars International Academy, 13 years
  2. Hauwa Abubakar, i-Scholars International Academy, 13 years

Topic: Is Poverty a Solvable Problem in Nigeria or an Inevitable Reality

The Judges

  1. Irene Bangwell- Co-founder KNOSK N100 a Day Charity School and Girls Coach
  2. Dr. Majid Dahiru- Researcher, Columnist and Tech Team Lead, Lux Terra Leadership Foundation

Prize: One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00)

Oma-Benedict Excel Umuolajo and Muhibah Jibril Aladeja emerged winner of their respective groups to qualify for the finals in Lagos.
