SSANU, NASU Set National Protest in Abuja

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and Associated Institutions, NASU, will commence a protest in the nation’s capital Abuja on Thursday.

The protest which is expected to kick off from the Unity Fountain Abuja by 8am will see the affected staff matching to the Office of the Minister of Education, Mamman Tahir to further ventilate their grievances over the non-payment of their four months’ salary when they joined ASUU for industrial action in 2022.

Although President Bola Tinubu gave a directive that the affected staff be paid their salaries, SSANU and NASU members have yet to receive their payment several months after the directive was issued.
