Swedish Institute SI Scholarship For Global Professionals 2025 (Fully Funded)

The Swedish Institute SI Scholarship is a fully funded master’s scholarship in Sweden for global professionals.

The Swedish Institute Scholarship is a comprehensive opportunity that covers full tuition, and provides €12,759 and SEK10,000 as stipend and travel grants respectively for selected applicants. You will also get mentorship and networking opportunity to become a member of global professionals if selected for this scholarship.

Requirements:

  • Be a citizen and resident of one of our programme countries:Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Ukraine, Vietnam, Zambia*Ukrainian applicants who reside outside of Ukraine are eligible to apply. 
  • Have a leadership position, such as CEO or senior executive, in a medium to large company with a mandate to spearhead strategic changes throughout their business.
      
  • Be at least 30 years old (born 1994 at the latest).
     
  • Have a good working knowledge of both written and spoken English.
     
  • Have a completed post-secondary education (the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree or greater).
     
  • Be willing to actively participate, provide support and share their experience and knowledge with other participants.
     
  • Have identified business needs or problems that could be worked on during the programme to help their company improve its contribution to a more sustainable world. 

Benefits:

  • Full tuition fee coverage. The fee is paid directly by SI to your Swedish university each semester.
  • A monthly allowance of SEK 12,000 to cover your living expenses throughout the study period.
  • A travel grant of SEK 15,000 (*10,000 for scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). This is a one-time payment and does not apply for students already living in Sweden.
  • Membership in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals (NFGP) – a platform to help you grow professionally and build a network while in Sweden.
  • After your scholarship period has ended, you become a member of the SI Alumni Network. As a member, you get a unique opportunity for continued networking and professional development.

How to Apply?

Intrested and qualified applicants for the Swedish Institute SI Scholarship should apply for the program following the step by step process below;

  • Apply for an eligible master’s programme at one of Swedish Universities.
  • Apply for a Global Professionals scholarship. To apply for the SI Scholarship, you must submit the documents listed below;
    1. CV
    2. Motivation Letter
    3. Two Recommendation Letters
    4. Photocopy of your valid passport/National ID card
    5. Proof of work and leadership experience
  • After the application deadline, SI will carry out a screening of all applications and disqualify those that do not meet the eligibility criteria for the SI Scholarship.
  • On the day you receive your notification of selection results from University Admissions, SI will receive the admission results, including your personal information directly from University Admissions.  
  • After the admissions results are announced by University Admissions on the 27 March 2025, SI starts to make a final evaluation of the applications that are still eligible for the scholarship.
