University of Ottawa Scholarships 2023/2024 | DETAILS
President’s Scholarship for International Students:
The scholarship is awarded to one full-time undergraduate international student. Valued at $30,000, it is one of the most prestigious scholarships at the University of Ottawa.
Applicants must hold a student visa, have a minimum admission average and demonstrate leadership qualities and a commitment to academic and extra-curricular activities. The scholarship can be renewed for the three following years in as much as the student maintains full-time enrolment, international student status and a minimum CGPA of 8.50. The University also provides a one-time award of $1,500 to applicants in second, third and fourth place.

) Chancellor’s Scholarship for International Students:
The Chancellor’s Scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate international student valued at $26,000, it is one of the most prized scholarships at the university. Students can renew their scholarship for the three years remaining for the student to complete his undergraduate studies. The student must hold a student visa, demonstrate leadership abilities and show commitment to academic and extra-curricular activities. The University also provides a one-time award of $1,500 to applicants in second, third and fourth place.

3.) Faculty of Arts Dean’s Merit Scholarship
The Faculty of Arts awards 10 of these renewable scholarships valued at $4,000. Eligible applicants must be enrolled full-time and for the first time, in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Arts at the university. The scholarship is renewable provided the student has a cumulative grade point average of 9.00 or higher at the end of a term and is enrolled full-time at the Faculty of Arts. No application is required for this scholarship. The scholarship is awarded during the summer preceding applicant’s studies.
4.) Faculty of Engineering Dean’s Merit Scholarship
The Faculty of Engineering awards 35 of these scholarships to students who possess excellent academic credentials. The scholarship is valued at up to $5,000. Applicants must be enrolled full-time, and for the first time in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Engineering.
No application is required for this scholarship; all eligible students including international students are automatically considered for this award.
5.) Faculty of Engineering Memorial Scholarship
The Faculty of Engineering Awards this scholarship to seven female students-one from each of the engineering programs. To apply, students must submit a letter explaining why they are applying to an engineering program and also submit an up to date resume highlighting their latest academic and extracurricular achievements. Applications must be submitted online.
All female students admitted to the Faculty of Engineering, including international students, are eligible for this scholarship.

Faculty of Social Sciences Dean’s Excellence Award for International Students:
The Faculty of Social Sciences awards a $1,500 scholarship to the best eligible international student enrolled full time, for the first time in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Social Sciences. Applications must be submitted online.

Through the International Exchange Program, the University of Ottawa offers many opportunities to study and complete internships abroad. Visit the International Office website to discover all the options available. The scholarship is valued at upto $2,000. No application is required. All students selected for the Exchange Program automatically receive the Student Mobility Scholarship.
