ASUU FINALLY DECLARES A NATIONWIDE STRIKE.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has finally declared an “all-Inclusive” Nationwide strike.

Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, the chairman ASUU announced this during a press conference on Monday 14th February 2022 and said the strike takes effect with immediate from yesterday (Monday)when it was announced.

Prof. Osodeke pointed out that, the union tried their possible best to avoid the strike but it seems inevitable due to the Federal Government passiveness towards the Unions demands.

During the Press release, ASUU chairman also blamed ASUU National Executive council for the creation of new Universities.

According to him, “NEC resolved to embark on the four-week roll-over total and comprehensive strike as the government has failed to implement the Memorandum of Action it signed with the ASUU in December 2020.

“So we invite all lovers and supporters of education to join in our struggle for a better Education system for all Nigerians. As our politicians keep multiplying educational institutions without prioritizing quality Education.
