FUDMA denies ban of Christian activities on campus

The Management of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) Katsina State, says reports alleging a ban on Christian activities in the institution are false.

Recall a memo which went viral that was released and signed by the Director of Security Services, CSP Abdu Salisu, stating Sundays as a “GENERAL DAY”, while church services were meant to be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 6pm and 8pm.

A statement released on Tuesday 8 March, by the Director, Public Relations and Protocol of the University, Mallam Habibu Garba-Matazu read: “The attention of the management of FUDMA has been drawn to a purported statement in circulation on the social media alleging that Christian activities have been restricted at the University campus.

The management wants to categorically state that it is not aware of any restriction and distance itself from such false statement and also urge the general public to disregard such fake news because it was not communicated through the institution’s approved official channels.
