BUK expels 27 students, suspends 8 over exam malpractice

The management of the Bayero University Kano(BUK) has announced the rustication of 27 students and suspended 8 others for engaging in examination malpractices. 

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Director of Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR) of the university, Hajiya Amina Umar Abdullahi, on Sunday, February 19.

According to the statement, the action was part of the outcome of the university’s senate’s 400th meeting held on January 26, in accordance with Category 20.17 (Ai, iii, iv, v, vi, vii, x and xii) of the university’s general regulations.

The Senate further stated that 22 other students were pardoned and warned against future involvemnt in any form of malpractice. and reiterated that if caught, the student will be rusticated.
