We are all aware that obtaining an education is essential to moving along in life. We all occasionally question things about celebrities. Over the years there has been a long belief passed down from generation to generation that all celebrities left school early to follow their dreams.

Surprisingly, there are some famous people who have dared to be different and refused to participate in this story. They worked hard while in school and graduated top of their class, so they didn’t merely attend for the sake of attending.

The widespread perception in Nigeria is that celebrities lack education. In this piece, I’ll show you a few celebrities who received honors degrees to dispel this myth. Nigeria is blessed with highly intelligent people in many different fields of endeavor.

1. Naira Marley

Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, a well-known Nigerian musician, is another well-known celebrity with a first-class degree in Nigeria from one of the top universities in England.

At the age of 11, Naira Marley traveled to London from Nigeria. He graduated from Walworth School in the UK with a General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE). Later, he pursued his academic interests further at Peckham Academy in England, where he earned a first-class honors degree in business.

2. Tolulope Adesua Etomi-Willington

Adesua, a well-known actress from Nigeria, shot to fame after appearing in the movie “Knocking on Heaven’s Door.” Her mother is a civil engineer and her father is an Edo state soldier, thus she comes from a family that values education.

Adesua traveled to the UK at the age of 13 to pursue her bachelor’s degree after attending Queen’s College in Lagos State, Nigeria, where she completed her secondary education.

In 2004, she graduated from City College Coventry with a diploma in musical theatre, physical theatre, and performing arts. She earned first-class honors in drama and performance at the University of Wolverhampton in England after finishing these studies in 2006 with three distinctions.

3. Ozoemena Chukwu

Ozoemena Chukwu, better known by his stage name Ozo, was raised in a household where education was highly valued. In addition to a younger sister who is a lawyer, he has two sisters who are physicians of medicine.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Cybernetics from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics University, which is one of the country’s oldest technical universities that specialize in IT and engineering education.

Nollywood actress Tosin Olayinka Abiola, also known as Omo Brish, resides in London. The mother of two received a first-class diploma from London Metropolitan University in August 2018. She is among the celebrities with first-class degrees in Nigeria.

Superstar Godwin is the next on the list of famous Nigerian celebrities with First-class honors.

The music icon has first-class honors to his name in addition to the countless prizes he has received for his extraordinary musical ability both locally and abroad.

The incredible vocalist graduated from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism with 1,340 other students, and he ended up becoming one of the set’s seven graduates with distinction.
