2024 Government of Azerbaijan Scholarship (Fully Funded)

The Government of Azerbaijan Scholarship is the Educational Grant Programme for eligible international students as approved by the orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 6, 2017 and on January 10, 2018, respectively.

The 2024 Government of Azerbaijan Scholarship provides full funding that covers the tuition, flight, accommodation, and living stipends for selected candidates on annual basis to study in the leading universities of Azerbaijan.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Be citizens of the OIC and the NAM member countries
• For undergraduate and general medicine programmes – citizens younger than 25
• For graduate and residency programmes – citizens younger than 30
• For doctoral programmes – citizens younger than 40

Benefits:

• Tuition fees
• International flight (once in a year, economy class)
• Monthly allowance ( DAZ1000, includes meals, accommodation and cost of utilities)
• Medical insurance
• Visa and registration cost

Required Documents

• Completed application form
• Diplomas or Transcripts from prior High School or University studies
• Copy of Passport
• Document on general health status (including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and C tests)
• CV or Resume
• Motivation Letter
• Proof of English  Proficiency (for programmes in foreign languages: for undergraduate programmes IELTS 5, TOEFL 40, for other programmes IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 50)

Note: All documents must be translated into English or Russian and notarized.

How To Apply?

• be officially nominated by respective state entities of their country (Ministries, Embassies, etc.) to the Embassies or to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan
• For official nomination by the respective state entities/government authorities (Ministries,
  Embassies, etc.) the applicants must submit the required documents to the relevant
  authorities for the first stage of the application process. The last date of the submission is
  May 20, 2024 at 6 PM Baku time.
• If the candidates are officially nominated by the respective government authorities they will
  proceed to the second stage of the application process and apply through Study in
  Azerbaijan Centralized Admission Service (SIACAS) website (portal.edu.az) from June 16 to
  July 1, 2024.
• After logging in SIACAS website applicants must choose the relevant Admission
  channel to apply.

The selection process for the Government of Azerbaijan Scholarship will cover two stages:

• Review of the relevant documents
• Interviews (online/Skype)
• The candidates will be informed about the results by July 2024.
