2024 Government of Estonia Scholarship (Estonia Degree And Exchange Program)
Estonian Ministry of Education and Research and Education and Youth Board offer scholarships to foreign nationals, pursuant to bilateral intergovernmental or inter-ministerial agreements concluded with other countries.
Starting from the year 2016, the Government of Estonia Scholarships based on the international agreements are offered in the framework of the Estonian Scholarship Programme for international students, researchers, and academic staff.
Requirements:
- Degree Students:
- Undergraduate level: Fields related to the Estonian language and culture.
- Master’s and Doctoral levels: All fields of study.
- Exchange Students:
- Must be enrolled in a foreign higher education institution.
- The scholarship covers the study period in Estonia for up to 10 calendar months per year.
- Eligible countries include;
- Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Egypt, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, India,
- Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, People’s Republic of China, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United States of America.
Benefits:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s students receive €350 per month.
- Doctoral students receive €660 per month.
- Degree students are funded for 12 months of the academic year.
- Exchange students are funded for up to 10 calendar months per year.
Required Documents
- Completed application form,
- A motivation letter.
- Valid identification (passport or ID).
- Confirmation of admission from the Estonian higher education institution.
- Provide translations if documents are not in Estonian or English.
- If the additional documents are not in Estonian or English, they must be provided with translations into either English or Estonian.
