Benefits:
- Monthly Allowance:
- For Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s level research: Four times the monthly value of the Federal Economic Measurement Unit (UMA).
- For Doctoral level or research stays: Five times the monthly value of the UMA.
- Medical Insurance: Coverage is provided through the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).
- International and National Transportation:
- Includes international air travel expenses.
- Covers national transportation within Mexico.
- Administrative Support: The scholarship sponsor manages the administration and benefits associated with the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a citizen of an eligible country
- Not currently living in Mexico
- Hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree relevant to the program applied for
- Demonstrate academic excellence
- Be accepted or currently enrolled in a participating Mexican institution
- The field of study relates to the applicant’s academic and professional background
- The program has a direct impact on the development of the applicant’s country.
Required Documents:
- Passport copy
- Medical certificate (no more than 3 months old)
- Declaration letter (signed)
- CV (maximum 4 pages)
- Resident ID card & Unique Population Registry Code (if studying in Mexico)
- All documents must be in Spanish (PDF format)
How to Apply?
- Register on SIGCA: Visit the SIGCA online application system and register for an account if you haven’t already done so.
- Account Registration: Complete the registration process by providing the required information, such as your name, email address, and any other details requested.
- Log in to Your Account: Once registered, log in to your SIGCA account using your credentials.
- Select Scholarship Program: Choose the scholarship program you wish to apply for from the available options. Ensure to select the correct program aligned with your area of interest.
- Fill out the Application Form: Complete the online application form carefully, providing all necessary information as requested. This may include personal details, educational background, area of interest, and other required information.
- Upload Supporting Documents: Prepare and upload all required supporting documents, such as passport copy, medical certificate, declaration letter, CV, and any other documents specified in the application form.
- Review and Submit: Review your application form and attached documents carefully to ensure accuracy and completeness. Once satisfied, submit your application through the SIGCA system.
- Application Language: Ensure that your application is completed and registered in Spanish as required. Use Google Translate if needed to understand and complete the application form accurately.
- Confirmation: After submitting your application, you may receive a confirmation email or notification acknowledging receipt of your application.
