Meet Comrade Olushola Oladoja as NANS President
In a colourful and dignified ceremony held at the main auditorium of the University of Abuja, student leaders, academic dignitaries, and youth development advocates convened to witness the official induction of Comrade Olushola Oladoja as the newly elected President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
The event commenced with a grand procession of student representatives from tertiary institutions across the country, symbolising the unity and diversity within Nigeria’s student community. The atmosphere was further enlivened by traditional drummers and cultural dancers, offering a vibrant display of the nation’s rich heritage.

In his inaugural address, Comrade Oladoja reaffirmed his dedication to championing students’ rights, promoting educational reform, and fostering national unity among Nigerian students. “This is not merely a title; it is a mandate to serve every Nigerian student striving for a brighter future,” he declared.
Esteemed guest speakers—including university chancellors and past NANS executives—commended Oladoja’s steadfast commitment to student advocacy and encouraged him to remain guided by the principles of integrity, transparency, and service. The ceremony culminated in the symbolic presentation of the NANS insignia, representing the trust and confidence placed in him by the student populace.
Comrade Oladoja hails from Chanchaga Local Government Area in Minna, Niger State. He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate from Zarumai Model School, Minna, before proceeding to Police Secondary School, Minna.
He began his higher education journey at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Production Science. Demonstrating a passion for educational advancement, he pursued further studies at LAWNA Theological Seminary, an affiliate of the University of Jos, where he obtained dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Conflict Management and Peace Studies, and Religion Studies. He later earned a Master’s degree in Conflict Management and Peace Studies from the University of Jos and is currently undertaking another Master’s degree at the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
Throughout his academic and leadership career, Comrade Oladoja has remained committed to the advancement of quality tertiary education in Nigeria. His strategic engagements with student bodies, university authorities, educational stakeholders, and community leaders continue to reflect his passion for sustainable change.
As he embarks on this new chapter of leadership, the Nigerian student community anticipates a tenure characterised by unity, progress, and transformative advocacy.
