NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme (UGSS) 2025/2026
The NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme is a merit-driven program designed to support outstanding Nigerian students enrolled in public tertiary institutions nationwide. Through financial support and academic motivation, the scheme promotes excellence in education and contributes to the country’s long-term development.
NLNG now invites applications from qualified first-year undergraduates (2025/2026 academic session) for the 2025 NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme (UGSS). This initiative is dedicated to empowering exceptional students across Nigerian universities, enabling them to excel academically and play meaningful roles in the nation’s progress.
NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme (UGSS) Benefits
Successful beneficiaries of the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship will receive ₦300,000 per academic session, and the award will be sustained for the entire duration of the beneficiary’s degree program, provided all scholarship conditions are met.
Requirements for the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme (UGSS)
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Must be a citizen of Nigeria and currently residing within the country.
- Must be a full-time first-year undergraduate student in the 2025/2026 academic session at a federal or state-owned university in Nigeria.
- Must have obtained at least five (5) O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English, in a single sitting (WASSCE, SSCE, or NECO).
- Must have scored a minimum of 200 in the JAMB UTME.
- Must be between 18 and 25 years old at the time of application.
- Must not be receiving any other scholarship, bursary, or financial award from another organisation.
- Must not be a spouse, child, ward, or immediate relative of an NLNG employee.
Selection Process
- Eligible candidates will be invited to participate in a computer-based, online proctored selection test. Only applicants who are shortlisted will receive this invitation.
- Candidates who successfully pass the test will be required to submit an additional set of mandatory documents for further verification.
- Scholarship awards will be granted exclusively to applicants who meet all eligibility criteria and successfully complete every stage of the selection process.

- Copies of WAEC/NECO/SSCE results
- JAMB UTME result slip
- JAMB Admission Letter
- Proof of Local Government of Origin
