Carewave Foundation Scholarship Programme 2026

The Carewave ASPIRE Scholarship Programme (CASP) is an initiative established to support academically outstanding Nigerian students who have demonstrated strong potential for success but face financial barriers that may prevent them from pursuing their education.

CASP is a merit- and need-based scholarship programme designed to provide financial assistance to students from vulnerable communities who have secured admission into eligible tertiary institutions. The programme places particular priority on students admitted to Federal Universities across Nigeria, helping deserving students overcome financial constraints and pursue their academic goals.

Benefits of the Carewave Foundation Scholarship Programme

  • Scholarship Amount: ₦500,000
  • Payment Frequency: Annual
  • Tuition Support: Covers tuition fees for the academic year
  • Living Support: Includes a stipend to assist with living expenses

The scholarship will initially cover one academic year, providing successful recipients with financial support towards both their educational and living expenses.

Carewave Foundation Scholarship Programme – Eligibility Requirements

The Carewave ASPIRE Scholarship Programme (CASP) is designed to support students who demonstrate both academic excellence and genuine financial need.

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian citizens.
  • Have secured admission into an eligible Federal University in Nigeria.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance and potential.
  • Be from a vulnerable or financially disadvantaged background.
  • Demonstrate a genuine need for financial assistance to pursue their education.
  • Demonstrate integrity, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to their academic goals.
  • Fulfil all other eligibility requirements specified in the official scholarship guidelines.

Carewave recognises that vulnerability can arise from different personal, social, and economic circumstances. Consequently, the selection process will assess each applicant’s individual circumstances and financial situation alongside their academic achievements and potential.

CASP will give priority to academic programmes that provide strong opportunities for professional growth, skills development, and meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s social and economic development.

STEM Programmes

Eligible STEM disciplines include Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy, Radiography, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Statistics, Mathematics, Environmental Science, and Food Science and Technology.

Humanities and Social Sciences

Eligible programmes within the Humanities and Social Sciences include Law, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Mass Communication, Communication and Media Studies, Psychology, International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Business Administration, Criminology and Security Studies, Geography, Urban and Regional Planning, English and Literary Studies, Linguistics, Philosophy, History and International Studies, and Entrepreneurship.
