ASUU STRIKE: UNIJos student commits suicide
A 300-level student of the University of Jos committed suicide over the weekend due to the nationwide strike embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The deceased, Mr. Henry Ehis, a student of the Department of Actuarial Science, of the Faculty of Management Science, was found dead last week at his Faculty.
Before his demise, the deceased Mr. Henry left a short note for his parents expressing his dissatisatifaction with the ongoing ASUU, stating the strike as a sole reason for taking his life.
However, residents who found his lifeless body criticized his action by saying suicide was not the best option and the strike was not reason enough for him to end his life.
