History of Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Osun State(FUHSI)

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Osun State(FUHSI) is one of the new Universities established in 2021 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The University is a specialized one with focus on Health, Nutrition and Medical Sciences and it is expected to lay a foundation for building National preparedness and resilience in anticipation of future challenges in the health sector while also reducing medical tourism abroad.

As the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the institution, the task of planning and putting together resources to kick start and nurture the University therefore becomes crucial and of special interest to me. Having considered the topography, this master plan has been developed to cover the 471.88 hectres of University land for an orderly and coherent evolution and growth of the University campus.

I am therefore optimistic that our noble effort in putting up the master plan will lay a foundation for an orderly, efficient and coherent evolution and growth of the University illustrating the future size, quality and location of campus land use and facilities from inception to maturity.
