ICCEF Educational Scholarship Programme 2026

The Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma Empowerment Foundation (ICCEF) is pleased to announce the commencement of applications for its 2026 Educational Scholarship Programme, designed to support indigent students enrolled in public secondary schools and tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

Established in honour of the enduring legacy of Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma, the scholarship programme is committed to expanding access to quality education, alleviating financial barriers to learning, and empowering deserving young Nigerians with the opportunity to achieve their academic aspirations and unlock their full potential.

Eligibility Criteria for the ICCEF Educational Scholarship Programme

To be eligible for the ICCEF Educational Scholarship Programme, applicants must:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen.
  • Be currently enrolled in a public secondary school or tertiary institution in Nigeria.
  • Demonstrate strong academic commitment and maintain satisfactory academic performance.
  • Provide evidence of financial need.
  • Be willing to participate in the Foundation’s monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment activities, where required.

Selection Process

All applications will undergo a thorough review in August 2026. Applicants who are successfully shortlisted will be notified in September 2026 regarding the outcome of their application.

Required Application Documents

As part of the application process, applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  • A completed scholarship application form.
  • A recent passport-sized photograph.
  • Proof of admission, school identification card, or any other valid evidence of current enrolment.
  • The applicant’s most recent academic result or official transcript.
  • A personal statement (maximum of 500 words) outlining the applicant’s educational goals, financial need, and how the scholarship will contribute to their academic and career aspirations.
  • A letter of recommendation from a school authority, teacher, lecturer, or recognized community leader.

How to Apply

Interested and qualified applicants are invited to complete the online application form via the Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma Empowerment Foundation (ICCEF) application portal.

Applicants are permitted to apply for only one scholarship category. Submission of multiple applications across different categories will result in automatic disqualification.

Scholarship Categories

Applicants may apply under one of the following categories:

1. Tuition Scholarship

This category is open to indigent students currently enrolled in public secondary schools and tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The scholarship is designed to provide financial support towards tuition and other eligible academic expenses.

2. Project-Based Scholarship

This category is intended for indigent final-year students whose research projects or academic dissertations focus on one or more of the following thematic areas:

  • Human Rights and Social Justice
  • Justice Sector Reforms
  • Law Enforcement and Policing
  • Gender and Development
  • Youth Empowerment
