Applications are now open for the 30th Edition of the Rt. Rev. (Dr.) M.A. Okpebholo Foundation Annual Scholarship Award. Eligible students are invited to apply for this prestigious scholarship opportunity, which is open to final-year students enrolled in any Nigerian university or polytechnic who have received official approval for their project topics. The scholarship is non-political and non-religious, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and educational advancement regardless of background or affiliation.

Matthew Okpebholo Foundation Scholarship Benefits

The Matthew Okpebholo Foundation Scholarship will support 1,000 deserving students this year, with each successful beneficiary receiving a scholarship award of ₦100,000 to assist with their academic and project-related expenses.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Matthew Okpebholo Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be an indigene of Edo State.
• Be a final-year student enrolled in a recognized Nigerian university or polytechnic.
• Have an officially approved final-year project topic.
• Demonstrate genuine financial need or come from an economically disadvantaged background.
• Complete the mandatory online Scholastic Aptitude Test immediately after submitting the application form.

Important Information

• The application process is completely free of charge. Applicants should not make any payment to any individual, group, or organization for application processing.
• Only candidates who successfully pass the Scholastic Aptitude Test will be shortlisted and contacted for the subsequent stage of the selection process.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Matthew Okpebholo Foundation Scholarship consists of the following stages:

1. Complete the Application Form
Applicants are required to accurately fill out and submit the online application form. The process typically takes between 10 and 15 minutes to complete.

2. Take the Scholastic Aptitude Test
Upon successful submission of the application, candidates will immediately proceed to a computer-based Scholastic Aptitude Test comprising 30 questions to be completed within 45 minutes.

3. Automatic Score Recording
Test scores are automatically linked to each applicant’s submission and used during the evaluation process. Please note that candidates are not permitted to retake the test.

4. Shortlisting and Notification
Applicants who meet the required performance criteria will be shortlisted and contacted by the Foundation for the next phase of the selection process.

Successful candidates will be recognized at the scholarship award presentation ceremony scheduled for June 20, 2026.
