Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
- Currently enrolled in a master’s or PhD program, available full-time
- Strong interest in migration, asylum, or integration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in additional languages besides English (preferred)
- Ability to use Microsoft Access (preferred)
- Experience with quantitative, qualitative, or policy research (preferred)
- Five-day work schedule, 38 hours per week, with telework option twice a week after two months
Duties of Research Interns at MPI:
- Contributing to overall research efforts on migration, asylum, and integration topics
- Assisting MPI Europe team members, including senior management, with various tasks
- Helping disseminate publications and research findings
- Attending and summarizing relevant public and private events
- Providing support for administrative tasks
- Conducting data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Supporting the preparation of reports, policy briefs, and research papers
- Assisting in organizing and participating in conferences and workshops
