Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must also show genuine financial need and possess a minimum of five credits in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB—including English Language and Mathematics, plus three relevant subjects in Arts, Sciences, or Social Sciences—obtained in no more than two sittings. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum UTME score of 220, with required subjects including English Language and any three subjects from Social Sciences, Arts, or Sciences.
Priority Consideration
The programme particularly encourages applications from young women interested in STEM fields, internally displaced youths, and individuals living with disabilities. However, eligible candidates outside these priority groups are also encouraged to apply
Selection Process
The selection process for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Pan-Atlantic University follows a structured, multi-step approach:
Step 1: Meet Academic Requirements
Applicants must possess at least five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained in no more than two sittings.
Step 2: Submit an Expression of Interest
Candidates who do not yet have their UTME results are required to complete an Interest Form to indicate their intention to apply and initiate the screening process.
Step 3: Take the JAMB UTME
All applicants must sit for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME. A minimum score of 220 is required to advance.
Step 4: Complete the Application Form
Candidates who meet the UTME requirement should complete the online application form once it opens (typically in May), providing accurate personal, academic, and supporting documentation.
Step 5: Screening and Interview
Applications are reviewed against the programme’s eligibility criteria and objectives. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, which may be conducted either physically or virtually.
Step 6: Admission and Award
Successful applicants will receive admission into Pan-Atlantic University along with a formal scholarship award under the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
