PressPayNg Makes Top 20 Finalists for SDG Digital GameChangers Award
PressPayNg recently made Top 20 finalists for the 2024 United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) SDG Digital GameChangers Award from over 1180 submissions from 126 countries under the Prosperity Category for Driving economic growth and innovation. This category considers ICT projects, applications, or policies that promote economic growth, job creation, and the development of sustainable infrastructure.
The 2nd edition of the SDG Digital Gamechanger’s Award is set to honour organizations that are working towards rescuing the Global Goals through digital.
Submissions for this category may include but are not limited to ICT projects, applications, or policies that promote:
- Entrepreneurship and Digital Innovation, recognizing initiatives that foster entrepreneurship, support start ups, and leverage digital to drive innovation and competitiveness in various sectors
- Job Creation and Skills Development, highlighting initiatives that promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth by creating job opportunities, particularly for youth and vulnerable populations, and enhancing digital skills through training and capacity-building programs
- Sustainable Infrastructure, recognizing initiatives that leverage digital for the planning, development, and maintenance of resilient and sustainable infrastructure, including transportation, energy, communication, and digital connectivity
- Access to Finance and Digital Payments, highlighting initiatives that promote financial inclusion, expand access to finance, and enhance digital payment systems to support economic growth and empower individuals and businesses
- Industry Transformation and Sustainable Production, recognizing initiatives that drive the transformation of industries towards more sustainable and responsible practices, including circular economy models, resource efficiency, and sustainable production and consumption patterns.
