The Shiraka Training Programme (STP) 2025 for public service professionals (Fully Funded)
The Shiraka Training Programme (STP) is part of the Shiraka Programme, which has been developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support societal development in the MENA region. The training programmes are open to participants from the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestinian Territories and Tunisia.
Requirements
- To be eligible to participate in a training course, you must work for the government, a government body or a government-related organisation. However, some spots for those working at semi-public organisations are also available in the following training programmes: Energy Transition, Food Safety, Trade Promotion & Economic Diplomacy and Water Management.
- The maximum number of participants per course is 25.
- As the courses are interactive, participants will be divided into subgroups.
STP training courses
The STP consists of two-week training courses on several issues, particularly concerning the public service delivery of governments towards and while involving its citizens.
Each course includes three parts:
- a theoretical component
- a practical component aimed at developing skills (e.g. project cycle management, SWOT analysis, drafting strategy papers, presentation techniques)
- site visits
Benefits
- The Dutch government will take care of all relevant costs for participants from countries on the OECD-DAC list. This includes international travel, board and lodging, visa and insurance, and tuition fees for the course.
