Visa For Music (VFM) Africa 2025 Showcases for music Professionals – Rabat, Morocco (Funded)
The 2025 Visa For Music (VFM) Africa. Created in 2014, Visa for Music is the first music market and festival dedicated to Africa and the Middle East. It takes place annually over four days in November in Rabat, Morocco, at the initiative of ANYA Culture, a Moroccan cultural engineering organization. This festival, dedicated to promoting global musical diversity with a particular focus on Africa and the Middle East, serves as a crucial platform for artists, music professionals, and industry stakeholders. It provides a space for networking, exchanging ideas, and fostering fruitful collaborations.
Each year, approximately thirty bands from around the world are selected by a jury composed of international cultural and music industry professionals to perform in front of an audience of professionals and festival-goers eager to discover the lineup.
Requirements:
- Propose a 40-minute live project within one of the following three main categories: Global folk and fusion; Contemporary and urban music; Electronic music (DJ and VJ).
- All members of the musical group must be over 18 years old.
- The group must have been active for at least one year, with multiple stage experiences (concerts from the past year and planned performances for the current year must be provided in the application).
- Be able to deliver a 40-minute live performance of original music.
- Groups that have previously applied but were not selected may apply again.
- Artists who participated in a previous edition of Visa for Music more than three years ago may reapply, provided they present a new group or a different project.
Benefits:
- IMPORTANT: No artist fees, travel costs (plane tickets, train, etc.), or other expenses (e.g., Moroccan visa fees) are covered.
- A stage and necessary equipment will be provided for the showcase (except for specific requirements such as guitars, basses, unique percussion instruments, or grand pianos).
- Airport transfers and accommodation will be provided for up to 6 members of the group (for one to three nights, depending on the country of residence, in twin rooms).
- A per diem of 500 MAD per person will be provided on the day of the showcase (up to a maximum of 3,000 MAD per group).
- Promotion of the showcase through Visa for Music’s extensive network (social media, newsletters, online marketing, etc.).
- Artist passes (for group members and their manager) granting free access to all Visa for Music activities.
