OFFICIAL LAUNCH of PressPayNg





On Wenesday the 24th of November 2021, the much-awaited official launch of PressPayNg – an EdTech Solution to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria held at Afe Babalola Hall, University of Lagos.

Coverpage Partnership Solutions Limited, a Technology Solution provider, launched PressPayNg an EdTech social enterprise App to provide an easy way of tuition payment (EduSAVINGS & EduLOANS) and other value-added services to students of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.

The Chief Executive Officer, Mr Abiola Metilelu, described human capital development as a critical component for unlocking the full potential of the Nigerian economy. In his words, “You will agree with me that tertiary education is the engine room for national productivity for our nation, Nigeria, to keep abreast with global trends in education and for our institutions to achieve international recognition, tertiary education is expected to be accessible, equitable and qualitative.”

Prominent dignitaries and stakeholders in the education sector were in attendance. Worth mentioning is His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi – Ojaja II, ably represented by the Sooko Omoniyi of Ife Kingdom, Dr Kemade Elugbaju. He threw in his weight and asked and asked the firm to launch the same scheme in Osun State Tertiary Institutions.

Also The Divisional Head, Personal and Retail Banking, FCMB Plc, Mr Fashola Shamsideen who launched PressPayNg in partnership with FCMB and other brands, stated that “This is an idea whose time has come”.

The President, National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS) Comrade Asefon Sunday speaking at the launch commended PressPayNg for its genuine intentions and expressed that the association is convinced that the Product has a lot to offer Nigerian students. Dr. Olûwátosîñ Olowojébûtû (Chairman, UNILAG Alumni, Lagos Branch) who was also present at the launch was really impressed at PressPayNg collaboration which is centered around the welfare of the Nigerian student.

Furthermore the University of Lagos also endorsed PressPayNg. Prof. L. O. Chukwu (DVC Management Services) UNILAG (Representing the Vice Chancellor) speaking at the Launch of the brand was delighted about what the future holds for Nigerian students in Tertiary institutes across the country and was very hopeful for students who go through challenges with tuition payment. He also urged parents/guardians to take the initiative to register and work closely with PressPayNg to secure the future of their children/wards.
