ASUU STRIKE: KASU Lecturers Shun Resumption Directives.

Kaduna State University (KASU) academic staff have shunned the resumption directives issued by the school management, claiming academic activities can only resume when the Federal Government meets the all their demands.

Recall that the university management issued a circular on April 27, stating that it would start full academic activities on 9th May 2022.

In a statement jointly released on Tuesday, May 3, by the ASUU chairman and the Assistant Secretary, Kaduna State University branch, Dr. Peter Adamu, and Dr. Akos Ibrahim, the union dissociated itself from the circular released by the University authority.

The union described the circular as a means by the management to misinform the public, parents, and guardians, and to blackmail the union into their biddings. They also made it clear that the school management was not the mouthpiece of the Union and cannot speak on behalf of the union.

ASUU further warned students, parents, and guardians not to allow their children to resume for now until the current roll-over strike was suspended.
