The memo reads: “It has come to the notice of Borno State Scholarship Board that there is a website link circulating on social media directing students to apply for online scholarship of the Borno State Government.
” The Borno State Scholarship Board wishes to inform the general public especially, Borno State students that this information is false and should be regarded as fake news.
” While the Board disassociates itself from the purported link, it equally calls on the general public to disregard this information and to always liaise with the Board for genuine information.
” The scholarship Board will always use appropriate channels of communication to inform students on any latest development.“
