OGITECH Appoints New Acting Rector

Ogun State Institute of Technology Igbesa (OGITECH), has appointed a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in the person of Mr. Odutola Oluyemi Akanbi (FCA) to manage the affairs of the Institute pending the appointment of another substantive Rector by the Government.

Mr. Odutola was the Dean, School of Financial Management Studies and the Director of Academic Planning before his appointment as the Coordinator of the Institute.

He has headed different committees of the Institute, such as Accreditation Committee, Convocation Committee, among others and he has published several books and articles both in the local and International journals respectively before attaining the position of a Chief Lecturer in the Institute.

An academia per Excellence, erudite scholar, goal getter and an outstanding Chartered Accountant who joined the service of Ogun State Institute of Technology after leaving Gateway Holdings Limited (GHL) where he started his professional career as an Assistant Projects Manager.

Brief History of OGITECH Acting Rector

A First Class graduate in Accounting and Finance from Crawford University, Masters holder in Finance from Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) and currently pursuing his PhD. in Accounting and Finance with Crawford University, Faith City, Igbesa.

He attended Our Lady of Appostles Primary School, Ibara and the prestigious Air Force Military School, Jos as a pioneer student before proceeding to Ogun State Polytechnic, Ojere now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic for his National and Higher National Diploma qualifications in Accountancy. A native of Ijoun, Yewa North Local Government of Ogun State. He was born to the family of Late Chief. Odutola Abraham Bankole, the baale of Eeja, Orile and Mrs Odutola Ashande in the year 1969. He is happily married with children.
