Olawale Ibrahim Ashimi famously known as Brymo, born on 9 May 1986 in Okokomaiko, Lagos, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, stage performer and author.

Brymo had his elementary education at Aganju Aka Primary School and later at Japual Primary School before heading to Ajangbadi High School, Ajangbadi, Ojo for his secondary education.

After he graduated from secondary school, Brymo headed to Lagos State University, Ojo, to study Zoology but later dropped out to focus on music.

Brymo’s musical career began in 1999, while he was still in high school, when he recorded the song “future.” His musical inspiration came from his mother’s renditions of Fuji songs. He formed ‘The Aliens’, a musical group with a few of his friends, in 2002, but the Aliens disbanded in 2005 due to various issues. He then launched a solo career without signing with a record label.
